About Robin

I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults throughout my career. I focus on supporting people who have struggled with abuse, neglect, traumatic experiences, failure to launch, struggles with motivation, depression, anxiety, substance use, sexuality, relationships, and working with LGBTQ folks, especially people identifying as Trans, Queer, and those who are questioning.

My practice focuses on utilizing:

-    Contemplative Psychotherapy

-    Brainspotting
-    Sand Tray Therapy
-    Incorporation of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
-    Use of Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) program
-    Play therapy, especially Attachment Based Play Therapy (ABPT)
-    12-step integration
-    Working to direct clients in ways to build awareness of emotions, shame and blame patterns and symptoms and in gaining self-acceptance.

 

Clinical Experience and Teaching Experience:

I hold an M.A. in Counseling from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and degrees in English (B.A.) and Psychology (B.A.) from The University of Buffalo in New York.  I am a Licensed Psychotherapist (LPC) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC)  in the state of Colorado and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in Vermont as well as an AASECT certified sex therapist.
